Node-RED keyboard shortcut to close open dialog

Is there anything that will allow me to press “esc” and it will close any open dialogue boxes, such as whatever node setting I currently have open. Drives me crazy.

The closest you can get with that is the Cancel Edit Tray setting, by default it is mapped to Ctrl-Esc, but that doesn’t work on Windows so I map it to Ctrl-q, but maybe there’s something better that would work, I’d love for the Esc key to be part of that keyboard shortcut.

EDIT: Scratch that, typing out “escape” instead of just “esc” works and then you can cancel dialogs with just the esc key :slight_smile:

One thing to note, this is the same as clicking cancel, so if you’ve made changes they go away.
