OMG! I evocated the Dragon Power. The hub just arrived now. 7 days delivery time.
My ihost did not recognize my zwave dongle, so while I was able to install the zwavejs container I have no radio.
Assuming the iHost runs some sort of (Debian?) Linux variant, is it possible to ssh into the iHost?
I mean, is ssh even enabled on it? if so, do you have the needed credentials to ssh into it?
If possible, can you type the follwowing in the command prompt?
sudo lsusb
Alternatively, you can type
sudo dmesg | grep usb
Those would allow us to learn if the USB port is active or inactive in the iHost. If active, then we can proceed to learn the correct device path that weāll need to use in the zwave dongle setting in the zwavejs container config.
You may also try typing
ls /dev/tty*
with and without the zwave dongle connected, to see if a new character file is automatically created/removed by udev when the USB device is plugged in/unplugged. Something like ttyAML0, ttyAML1, ttyUSB0 or ttyUSB1 may appear once the dongle is recognized, or notā¦
There is no ssh access
Tks. I guess that means I can cross it out of my shopping listā¦
